Women's Goalball Team wins in Seoul
The Tel Aviv Beit Halochem women's goalball team won the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games in Seoul in May 2015, assuring a place in the 2016 Rio Paralympics.Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for blind athletes, who use the sound of a bell to determine the position and movement of the ball. The game was s a demonstration sport at the 1976 Summer Paralympics in Toronto, and later became the first Paralympic sport designed exclusively for disabled players.Beit Halochem Canada supports the goalball activities in Tel Aviv.
