2015 Calgary & Vancouver Group Visit

Vancouver recently completed its sixth visit of Beit Halochem disabled veterans. The program is sponsored by the Al Roadburg Foundation and by Temple Sholom under the leadership of Rabbi Dan Moscovitz. The visiting veterans spent nine days in Vancouver before continuing on to Calgary.

They brought the sunshine from Israel with them the whole time they were here. The itinerary included city tours, visits to the North Shore mountains, a trip to Whistler and a boat cruise to Bowen Island. They spent a morning at the King David High School talking with the Grade 10,11, 12 students.

Of course there was ample time for shopping and a lot of eating. Our host families thoroughly enjoyed the experience once again, and close connections were definitely made. One vet was heard to say to the others, “I now have family in Vancouver.”
