Academic and athletic scholarships are awarded annually to Beit Halochem members. As those injured during service find life plans and dreams suddenly derailed, these scholarships assist to determine new directions, regain independence, and reclaim lives – among the highest priorities of the rehabilitation process.
Each year, the Beit Halochem scholarship program enables hundreds of wounded veterans to reach their potential. Being supported during their studies provides our members with the tools to recover confidence and belief in their own abilities. This is especially significant while navigating the realities of new lives.
Applications for academic studies scholarships are sent to a committee for each completed academic year. Scholarship amounts depend on the veteran’s disability and financial circumstances.
Scholarship recipients receive names and any additional information that donors wish to provide. Donors receive full details of the scholarship recipient (including institution, faculty, year, and amount awarded). Many supporters receive personal thank you notes from recipients while others attend meaningful, moving ceremonies to personally award their scholarships.
