The future begins in Ashdod for nearly 7,000 Israeli disabled veterans and their families
Ashdod is the site of the fifth Beit Halochem Centre. Construction on its Phase 1 began in early August with the facility expected to open in mid-2021. This phase includes erecting the building’s concrete skeleton and outer perimeter fence.
Located on 7.4 acres donated by the Municipality of Ashdod, Beit Halochem Ashdod will serve nearly 7,000 disabled veterans living in Israel’s Southern Coastal Plain. Together with their families, over 15,000 people will benefit from this newest Beit Halochem Centre. A major priority of Beit Halochem is that disabled veterans have ease of accessibility to rehabilitative services and programming. Until now, those living in southern Israel – from Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Rishon LeZion – have had to travel great distances for their activities and treatments. While a strain on the injured veterans, it has also prevented their families from taking part in a wide of array of activities.
Many naming opportunities are available during the construction of this next-generation rehabilitation centre that will assist those injured while protecting Israel for us all. Please contact Lisa Levy on how you can support Beit Halochem Ashdod and the men, women, and children whose lives it will enhance.
