Beit Halochem wheelchair dancer Nahum (Humi) Prital and his dance partner Gal Cucuy won the Gold Medal at this summer’s 2013 Continents Cup in Moscow.

One hundred and fifty athletes from more than 20 countries competed at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Wheelchair Dance Sport Continents Cup, which was held Aug. 31-Sept. 1 in Moscow.

Organised by Russia’s Ministry of Sports and Wheelchair Dance Sport Federation, it was the fifth anniversary of the event under IPC management. The competition has existed since 1998, but prior to 2009 was called the Saint Petersburg Open.

Wheelchair dance sport is not on the Paralympic Games program but is governed by the IPC.
