BEIT HALOCHEM BE’ER SHEVA
At its inaugural event in April 2011 attended by more than 1,000 guests, Toby Feldberg, National President of Beit Halochem Canada had the honour of speaking on behalf of the worldwide Friends Organizations.
With over 1,500 members and their families, Beit Halochem Be’er Sheva serves a community of more than 3,000 men, women, and children living in Be’er Sheva and the south of Israel.
The 5,500 square-metre complex is located on 4.4 acres allocated to Beit Halochem by the Israel Lands Authority. It features a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a sports hall, hydrotherapy pool, a physiotherapy wing, fitness hall, table tennis and billiards halls, a multi-purpose events hall, outdoor basketball and tennis courts and a wide array of sports, cultural and leisure activities for members and their families.
Beit Halochem Be’er Sheva wins prestigious design award.
Eitan and Michal Kimmel, Ilan Carmi, and Shahaf Zayit of Kimmel Eshkolot Architects were awarded the “Yaacov Rechter Prize for Architecture” for their design and planning of Beit Halochem Be’er Sheva. The Yaacov Richter prize, considered one of the most prestigious prizes given in Israel in the field of architecture, is awarded bi-annually.
