“Breakthrough” sculpture by Sid Golden
Sid Golden, a longtime supporter of Beit Halochem Canada, recently donated one of his artistic creations to Beit Halochem. He is a retired practising periodontist and teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry University of Toronto. He is also a sculptor.
“This sculpture is entitled ‘Breakthrough’ and it depicts an Israeli Veteran taking his first step on his artificial leg without the use of crutches. As he looks up to the heavens, he spontaneously cries out with excitement and joy. “Yes!..Yes!..Yes!”
“He has also been struggling with PTSD, a direct aftermath of his unforgettable exposure to the horrors of war. Today, however, he feels there is new hope in his life and we all rejoice for him.”
