All forecasts said 70% chance of thunderstorms but stronger forces prevailed and we had a gorgeous day on the links! After a “shofar start”, Beit Halochem Canada’s annual Golf Tournament was, once again, a huge success with over 100 golfers enjoying a round at the beautiful Copper Creek Golf Club in Kleinburg.
No matter the golfers’ scores, it was apparent all had an enjoyable day – and evening. Our silent auction featured a wide range of sports tickets, entertainment, and evenings out and a lively live auction offered up signed jerseys by the Maple Leafs’ great #34, Auston Matthews, and newly departed Toronto Raptor Kawhi Leonard. While the bidders took home great items and priceless memorabilia, Israel’s disabled veterans were the ones who got the most out of the proceedings.
